Bear in Heaven last night @Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen played to a capacity crowd or more hammed it up to a sold out show.
It was slightly ironic that the lead singer Jon Philpot’s dance moves and mannerisms were reminiscent of those of Jake Shears from Scissors Sisters as their performances were head to head (or rather parallel universe to parallel universe) at the same time of Scissors Sisters re-launch into live, also in London.
Quite an 80s synth retrospective, but a fun evening out all the same - some very cool building tracks, “You don’t know me” a stand-out.
